On March 1 2023 we lost a great man, a great musician, a dear friend and one of the founding fathers of Corporate Therapy.
His passing was sudden and unexpected.
Joe was the third member to join what would be known as the 7-piece band Corporate Therapy. I was introduced to Joe by chance in 2015, and as luck would have it he was a long-time fellow resident of Dunwoody GA, living just a few miles from what was becoming our Studio. As the oldest member of Corporate Therapy, after seven years Joe retired from the band in March of 2022 to spend more time with his wife Elaine at their beach house in Florida. (We tend to practice once a week and Joe was not going to be able to do that). We all stayed close friends and he continued to come out and support the band.
We called him 'Doctor' Joe, as he could build, fix or repair anything and knew so much about guitars, amps, keyboards, music theory and music history. We all learned a lot from Joe and he was instrumental in forming the high-fidelity and true-to-the-original sound that Corporate Therapy has become known for.
Rock in Peace Joe! We all love you and miss you dearly. Know that you will always be in our hearts and in our music. All of our love and prayers are with your amazing and wonderful wife Elaine, and sons Ashford and Tom.
Here are some pictures of Dr. Joe with the band and live on stage. I hope to get some videos loaded soon as well.
